Sarah Hebert's big adventure is starting today, tuesday 21 th 2012 , this afternoon she will be the first woman ever to attempt the crossing of the Atlantic ocean on a classic Fun board. This incredible chalenge will start from Dakar, SENEGAL.

Paris, the 20 th 2012. Sarah Hebert, the four time French league champion, vice-world champion, European windsurf champion (This title was obtained only 2 months after she undergo a surgical operation to implant a defibrillator), will begin this indcredible challenge, Tuesday 21 st February in the afternoon, she will dash from Almadies near Dakar in Senegal : the first Atlantic crossing by a woman on a classic Windsurf.

Sarah Hebert, whose godfather is the famous and adventurous skier Luc Alphand, will start from Senegal for nearly a month crossing which will join the Saint François in Guadeloupe.

• 4000 km from Dakar, Senegal to the french island of Guadeloupe
• 8 hours sailling every day
• 25 days of crossing
• A folowing boat (Catamaran), 4 classic windsurf boards 2 sets of 5 sails
